The truth about me...

  • I have a confession to make. The title of my blog is not completely true. I'm a bit of a fatty and I'm certainly a happy person, but I wouldn't say that I am happy to be a fatty. So if you become a regular reader of this blog I'm sure you will become accustomed to my many attempts to lose weight, whether successful or a complete waste of time.
  • As for the rest of me, I am quirky, enthusiastic about everything, and often a bit dim. I also have really weak skinny ankles which are not very useful when you are a little bit of a fatty and very clumsy. I have lost count of the number of times I have twisted my ankle and ended up in a heap on the floor!
  • I work in communications, doing a bit of everything; from photography and filming to writing press releases and social media to stuffing envelopes on a 'Menial Monday', 'Tedious Task Tuesday', 'Wank Work Wednesday', 'Tiresome Thursday' or' Fed Up Friday', you name it I'll do it.
  • I'm a middle child but managed to escape the surly middle child syndrome by being the only girl. This meant I grew up very girly, with my Mum treating me like a doll and my Dad treating me like a princess. But growing up with my brothers means that I can hold my own in a farting contest and can drink you under a table.
  • I love everything Disney and am also a huge Harry Potter fan (the books trump the films every time). I was 11 when I read Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and I was convinced that the Summer would bring an Owl to my house with the news of my acceptance to Hogwarts. You can not begin to understand my anguish on the 1st September that year when all my potential wizarding friends were waiting to board the train on Platform 9 3/4 while I was heading to the local comprehensive.
  • Read my blog if you are intrigued by me. If not read it anyway.
